About Us
A Church Plant near Reading, UK
The Greenhouse Church started in November 2021 as a group of families gathering in a home in Hurst.
We are a non-denominational, Bible-based and Spirit-led local church.
We believe in authentic, multi-generational, relational gospel community.
We believe in radical devotion, worship and discipleship.
We hold to the Evangelical Alliance Statement of Faith and are exploring the onboarding process of the 24-7 network of churches.
We believe that Jesus Christ entered humanity, born to a virgin; that He suffered and died for the forgiveness of the world's sin; that He rose again, ascended into heaven and now through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, He is building His church until He comes again.
We, as sons and daughters of the Living God, have a role to play in this mission in our nation, the nations of the world and for the sake of future generations.

Meet the leaders

JP & Sharon Kloppers
Originally from South Africa, the Kloppers moved to the UK in 2018. Although it was business that was the initial motivator for the international move, they had a growing conviction ministry would be a part of their future. JP and Sharon have served in ministry and leadership in churches in Cape Town. They love hosting people in their home, outdoor adventures, watching rugby and drinking great coffee.

Vision
To cultivate a Christ-centred community where individuals can develop an authentic, personal relationship with God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We exist to see people transformed by this relationship, leading to significant spiritual growth and a positive impact on their families, their workplaces and on the wider community. We are committed to being an outward-focused community that exists for the benefit of those not yet part of our church family.
Values
Not merely aspirational, these values are actively lived out:
-
We are disciples of Christ and a Christ-centred community
-
We are submitted to the Word, saturated in prayer and Spirit led
-
We choose authenticity and vulnerability
-
We choose generosity and hospitality
-
We choose courageous, servant-hearted leadership
-
We choose missional living
